WHAT IS FULL LACE?
A Real Full Lace wig cap is 100% lace, with no plastic anywhere inside the cap. It is the most light-weight material of any wig on the market. Individual hairs are hand tied into the thin lace wig caps. The front, back, and sides of the hair wig are not like a regular wig. The wig hairs appear to be growing directly from the scalp. An individual hairline is cut all around the unit. A full lace wig is capable of being parted anywhere on the scalp, can be combed in any direction, and works great with any hairstyle. Full Lace gives a completely natural hairline, and can be worn in an updo or ponytail.

WHAT COLOR IS THE LACE?
The lace appears to be INVISIBLE, and blends perfectly with all color tones.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE LACE COLOR?
Choose the color that best matches your scalp tone, this is usually one shade lighter than your skin tone. The Xantus Lace Wig cap color choices are Brown, Light Brown, Tan, Light Tan, and Light Beige.

WHAT IS A LACE FRONTAL?
A lace frontal piece looks as though it is growing from the scalp, just like the full and front lace wigs. They are mostly used for front hairline replacement and weaves. You can have your hair weaved in back or wear it natural. This piece can be customized easily. The frontal piece is approximately 3 - 6 inches deep front hairline to back. The width can be cut to size, and customized to the individual hairline.

WHAT IS A LACE FRONT WIG?
A lace front wig has the lace in the front area of the wig only. The back of the wig is usually made of Monofilament, or Polyurethane blended materials. You CAN NOT put it back in a tight ponytail, or updo.

WHAT IS THIN SKIN?
Thin Skin cap bases have a bottom layer of thin skin blend of Polyurethane materials that look natural, but cannot accommodate hotter climates.

WHAT IS REMY HAIR?
Remy hair is a superior human hair grade that is collected from a hair donor. The cuticle layer of the hair remains in tack, therefore the hair is silky soft. The hair is then hand-tied to a wig in the same pattern as human hair growth. The look of the wig is very natural, easy to manage and does not tangle.

WHAT IS INDIAN HAIR?
Indian human hair is obtained from individuals that live in India, and the most comparable to European. The hair is finer and softer than most Asian hair. The length, and texture make this hair the most favorable with the making of wigs and hairpieces.

HOW DO I POSITION THE WIG ON MY HAIRLINE?
This is an important step. It is easy to achieve a natural looking hairline. Cosmetology guidelines suggest placing 3-4 fingers, at your hairline, above your eyebrows. This should give you the correct hairline placement. Please, do not place the hair system on a forehead frown line, or crease, THIS IS TOO LOW.

HOW DO I GET MY WIG REPAIRED?
Over the years, your wig will become worn. Perhaps, the hair and lace around the perimeter is balding and you want it replaced, or the lace has been torn, ripped or has some holes in it. You can have the wig repaired or serviced. It is easy, just click on "Other Services" in the left navigation bar and choose "Lace Wig Repair" we will do the rest.

WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN THE LACE WIG I WANT IS SOLD OUT?
Our inventory is updated everyday, give us a call we probably have what you are looking for. Whan an item is "Sold Out" it is currently out of inventory. You can still order the item.

DO YOU HAVE EXPRESS DELIVERY?
Yes, Xantus delivers through Federal Express, UPS, and the least costly method is USPS. We can have your packages arrive at your door by 2nd day air, and overnight express. We do not pay the additional express shipping charge.

CAN I CURL, FLAT IRON, PERM, OR COLOR TREAT MY LACE WIG?
Yes, you can color treat, chemically process, apply heated styling tools, or curl the wig in any manner (including hooded dryer). Treat your lace wig with tender loving care and in the same manner, you would treat your natural hair, and it will last for many years. Additionally, your lace wig will provide a completely natural hairline, and you can have a completely natural looking part anywhere on the head. You can have any hairdo, including an off-the-neck up-do, high-ponytail, or French bun. The choices are endless.

WHAT ARE THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THE INSTOCK LACE WIG CAPS?
These are standard medium wig caps. There are six major measurements. The Master WigMakers have developed a special design to ensure that these wig caps fit most heads. Circumference measures 23 inches, Front to back measures 14 3/4 inches, temple to temple measures 13 3/4 inches.

HOW CAN I MEASURE DENSITY?
Density is hard to measure. Because it differs with each wig maker. The density chart below, is given to provide more information so that you may be an informed consumer.

WHAT ARE BLEACHED KNOTS?
Bleached Knots on the lace wig help the hairs blend more naturally with the lace cap, making the hair look as though it is growing from the scalp. Usually, not necessary with darker hair colors.
